La Nuova Meccanica Navale was born in Naples on the initiative of Salvatore Ummarino, who was the heart and soul of the company. Since that date the three generations have succeeded in taking the company‘s helm, always working for innovations and production, and especially in the continuation of their commit-

ted style, passionate werk and corporate social responsibility. Today, faithful to their motto and the result of the know-how acquired over the years and investment in new technologies, La Nuova Meccanica Navale has improved and reached the point to be an international reference standard that continues to

strengthen notwithstanding the big crisis. Around 300 workers play their part in this success, employed both directly and indirectly. A flexible, highly professional structure which allows them to carry out their particular skilled werk, in various fields of activity, with quality and speed. 

Groundbreaking in 1984.

With over 70 years of Experience, La Nuova Meccanica Navale started 1948 and is one of the major players in the region within the areas of repair and maintenance of ships and all kinds of mid-size vessels. La Nuova Meccanica Navale has acquired throughout its rich history an important international prestige and, in terms of production capacity, is currently one of the best and fastest ship repair yards in Italy.
